‘Hi! My name is Oisin Duffy and I have just joined the Paritor team as a Junior Software Developer. I graduated in July 2019 with a BSc in Computing at Ulster University where I lived on the North Coast of Ireland for a few years.

I have had some exposure to the world of .net software and FinTech prior to this position. Once I spoke with Simon and John about the role I felt like Paritor would be the perfect fit for me because of the combination of the brilliant technologies they are exploring and the great people driving that forward. Having a good relationship with your peers was always going to be a big factor for me and I have noticed already that this is at the core of how the company operate day to day.

I enjoy a range of hobbies outside of work that include Lord of the Rings marathons, Harry Potter marathons, and absolutely zero actual marathons.

I look forward to moving to Exeter very soon and perhaps do a bit of surfing and play some Sunday league football.’

In his first week, Oisin has been working on the integration of a new reporting tool using Telerik reporting. His role also involves ensuring that the software is available on all popular desktop platforms such as Windows and Mac. This includes availability on all popular mobile devices, such as android and IOS.

Despite Paritor’s transition to remote working, Oisin plans to move close to our office in Exeter. This is a major benefit as it enables Oisin to join team get togethers in which vital planning for the coming weeks takes place and team morale is strengthened. Paritor are still becoming accustomed to working primarily from home but are embracing the new normal that Covid-19 has introduced.
